This higher cost is due to the heavier lamination required for PLA biodegradable film lining these boxes and the PLA films higher cost compared to regular Poly lining. Heavy PLA film maintains the leak resistance feature so important to moist and wet foods used commonly in Bio-Pak take out Boxes. When costs are important and Commercial Compostability is not available we recommend you consider our more economical Bio-Plus Earth 100% recycled natural kraft Take Out Boxes.
